About the Event
Enjoy a guided meditation that leads you into a state of half-sleep and half-awake awareness. The practice of Yoga Nidra (or yogic sleep) allows you to experience full mental, physical and emotional relaxation as your body replenishes, re-balances, and rests. Kim Thompson will guide you through a series of relaxation, vizualization and breathing exercises. You may want to prepare a short, concise, affirmation or intention (stated in the present tense to yourself at the beginning of the practice), known as a sankalpa or resolve. This practice will involve lying on a mat with props such as blankets and bolsters for approxiately 90 minutes. We recommend wearing comfortable, loose clothing.
