About the Event

In this workshop, we will start by talking about the anatomy and functions of your pelvic floor muscles, as well as their relationship to our core and hips. We will also discuss how breathing and posture can affect our pelvic muscles and vice versa. We will then continue on to talk about mula bandha – what it is and how its engagement can affect how you feel in yoga poses, as well as how it can support you in everyday functions. We will finish the workshop with a mini pelvic floor release sequence, coupled with restorative yoga elements to help down-regulate your nervous system for a deep relaxation response, which is so often needed in the hustle and bustle of our everyday lives. Come prepared to be engaged in your brain and your body.
